| Card
Types |
 |
| Magnetic Cards incorporate a
magnetic strip on one face and it should be introduced into
the reader. Proximity Cards incorporate internal antennas
that could communicate with the relative reader at distances
of up to 100 cm. Tags are as Proximity Cards but powered so
as to communicate with the relative reader at distances up
to 10 meters. Chip Cards, which incorporate an electronics
chip that would be loaded with much more data than the
identification code of the Card. |
| Card
Readers |
 |
| Depending on the Card type, a
relative Reader would be installed to allow a door to open,
or an arm barrier to open. Readers could be fitted as well
with a numeric pad, that would increase the security level
as the person has to enter a personal code from his memory,
to confirm the transaction.
|
| Biometric
Reader |
 |
| These
readers analyze the characteristics of some part of the
human body, to confirm the transaction: these could be
Finger readers, Palm readers, Eye readers, or even Head
readers.
|
| Control Equipment |

|
|
The Control Equipment
would allow setting the security levels on the Card
transactions, by allowing to set the entry or the exit
rights of Cards, from specific doors or arm barriers, at
specific times of the day, or of the day of the week. The
Control Equipment allows as well the coordination with the
Closed Circuit Television Network and with the Electronics
Security System.
|
| Attendance
and Time Management |
 |
| When
arriving or leaving the premises, the staff would register
themselves and thus provide a database for their presence at
their workplace. The system would allow late arrival to
their workspace from a mission, or early leaving the
workplace for a mission. The staff could as well check at
the relative reader, the total hours they have worked during
the week.
|
| Process Management |
 |
| A special version of the Time
Management is the Process Management : each staff would have
to register on which project he is working. The management
would then easily analyze the cost of the executed projects,
through the time each staff has invested in. |
