| Surges
Protector |
 |
| Power and communication cables
entering the building either from outside the premises, or
from the roof, or from the open areas within the premises,
could be loaded with electric surges due to the lightning
strikes: Surge Protectors could be installed on such cables
leading to sensitive equipment to clean it from the electric
surges, to a level acceptable by those sensitive equipment.
|
| Faraday
Cage |
 |
| Electric surge currents could be induced on
electrical circuits, due to the lightning strike being
discharged through the solid copper conductor. A Faraday
Cage system would provide a better lightning strike
protection, by allowing the lighting strike to discharge
through equally spaced down conductors around the buildings.

| Lighting
Active Aerials |
 |
| Lighting Active Aerials could be installed on top
of buildings, and connected to an electric earth by the use
of solid copper conductors, so as to provide a correct path
for the lightning strike to discharge to ground. The type of
the Lighting Active Aerials would depend on the size of the
buildings, and on the required protection levels |
